The Verkhovna Rada has not received any documents from the law enforcement bodies or medical institutions concerning the events on December 16, 2010. Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, made this statement at the briefing on Monday.
V.Lytvyn stated, "Scrutinizing the video records of that day, one may admit that it is not a battle, although the debate was rather heated." As the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada stated, while the People´s Deputies were in hospital, he talked with the hospital chief executive who reported on the state of health of the parliament members on a daily basis. "We all are concerned about the deputies´ health," V.Lytvyn declared. "Most deputies treat the events of December 16 as a distant past, while I still have a scar on my heart."
