Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, sent his greetings to the personnel of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate on the oncoming New Year and Christmas. The Head of the Parliament expressed his gratitude for the common work, and emphasised that he was aware of "the significance of all the specialists working at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate." "Thus, the employees of the Secretariate will not be dismissed, although it might provoke criticism", V. Lytvyn declared. The personnel of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate has not been enlarged since 2002.
V. Lytvyn reminded that for the past year, the Verkhovna Rada scrutinized more than two thousand issues and all of them "were processed by the Secretariate specialists." The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine focused on the respect and authority of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate.
Greeting the attendees, V. Lytvyn expressed his hope that "all positive expectations will come true, well-being will come to Ukraine, and the Verkhovna Rada will continue working efficiently." He wished harmony, prosperity and confidence in the joyful future.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine conferred state awards and diplomas upon the personnel of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate.
