The legislative act amends the Law "On Consumer Protection ". Clause 9 authorizes the seller to fix a longer period of exchange of quality goods; Clause 23 establishes a sanction for the infringement upon this right.
The Law amends clause 707 of the Civil Code of Ukraine, whereby the consumer has the right to exchange the non-edible product of unsatisfactory quality in the place of purchase or other places suggested by the seller for a similar product of other color, shape, dimension, style, cut etc., within 14 days, not counting the day of purchase, unless the seller fixes a longer term.
