The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Bill on Amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine (re Strengthening of Responsibility for the Burning of Vegetation or Its Remains)

The bill (Reg. No 5171) amends and supplements applicable clause 245 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Destruction or Damage of Vegetation", decriminalizing responsibility for the destruction or damage of stubble, barren wild weeds, vegetation or its remains on the agricultural land plots, the square of which does not exceed 1 ha.

The bill establishes administrative responsibility for the mentioned actions.
