ON SATURDAY, 10 JULY, SIXTH SESSION OF THE VERKHOVNA RADA OF UKRAINE OF THE SIXTH CONVOCATION WAS CONCLUDED.

 

Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, informed on the results of the work of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine during the plenary meetings on 9 July.

 

Chairman briefed that the Verkhovna Rada received the appeal of M. Azarov, Prime Minster of Ukraine regarding the dismissal of Nestor Shufrych, form the office of the Minister of Emergencies and Minister of the Protection of the Population from the Chernobyl disaster in connection with the new office.

 

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed the relevant Resolution by 256 votes.

 

The People´s Deputies continued scrutiny of the amendments to the bill on whole Ukrainian referendum.

 

The People´s Deputies voted for the prolongation of the plenary meeting till the end of the scrutiny of all the agenda issues.

 

V. Lytvyn announced that taking into the consideration the complicated situation with the bill on whole Ukrainian referendum, the decision was adopted in the course of the Conciliative Council of the Deputies faction to direct the bill on repeated second reading and commence its scrutiny in the course of the first plenary week of the next session.

 

The decision of the Conciliative Council of the Deputies faction to direct the bill on repeated second reading and commence its scrutiny in the course of the first plenary week of the next session was upheld by 368 votes.

 

The People´s Deputies included into the agenda the draft resolution "On Attributing of Obukhiv Town of Obukhiv District of Kyiv Region to the Category of Towns of Regional Subordinance" and passed it by 382 votes.

 

The Parliamentarians scrutinized three bills regarding the amendments to the effective laws regarding the tax police.

 

The bills "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine" "On State Tax Service" (regarding the Structure of the Tax Policy) drafted by Vasyl Hrytsak, Chairman of the Subcommittee of the Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement, A. Hrytsenko, the People´s Deputy of Ukraine and E. Heller, the People´s Deputy of Ukraine.

 

Vasyl Hrytsak, Chairman of the Subcommittee of the Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement announced the decision of the Committee to recommend the Parliament adoption of his bill.

 

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the bill "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine" "On State Tax Service" (regarding the Structure of the Tax Policy) introduced by Vasyl Hrytsak as a basis. Two other bills were rejected.

Parliamentarians scrutinized two bills "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Prevention of Negative Consequences of the World Finance Crisis on Development of the Building Sphere and Housing Construction in Ukraine" (regarding the Suspension of the Efficiency Terms of the Actins aimed at the Support of Construction).

 

The bill, drafted by the group of the People´s Deputies was introduces by Yurii Serbin, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Construction, Urban Development, Housing and Communal Services and Regional Policy.

           

The alternative bill was represented by Yu. Karmazin, the People´s Deputies of Ukraine.

 

The People´s Deputies upheld in the first reading the bill introduced by the group of Deputies members of the Committee.

 

The Verkhovna Rada ratified Convention on Implementation of the System of Testaments Registration.

 

The Parliamentarians included into agenda of the session and scrutinized the bill on amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On State Voters´ Register" that was reported by Oleksandr Lavrynovych, Minister on Justice.

 

In the result of the scrutiny the bill was adopted by 250 votes.

 

The bill "On Elections of the People's Deputies of the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea, Local Councils and Village, Township and City Mayors" was reported by Oleksandr Kasianiuk, member of the Committee on State Building and Local Self-Government. He announced that in the course of the elaboration 1336 amendments to the bill were directed, in the course of the elaboration 7 were taken into the consideration partially, 100 in revision, 1229 were rejected.

 

Ivan Kyrylenko, Head of YTB Faction declared that neither of YTB amendments was supported, hence the factions does not deem it necessary to continue participation in the session.

 

The Verkhovna Rada adopted the bill in the second reading and in its entirety.

 

Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine summed up the results of the work of the Parliament during the sixth session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the sixth convocation and adjourned the sixth session.

 

Next, seventh session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the sixth Convocation, shall be commenced on Tuesday, 7 September 2010.
