In particular, in the course of the sitting, the Committee scrutinized the draft resolution "On Conduction of the Parliamentary Hearings: "Practice of the Law Implementation in Ukraine "On provision of the Equal Rights and Opportunities for Men and Women" (Reg. No6570)
The Committee members emphasised the necessity of the hearings and urgency of the topic as the adoption of the Law "On provision of the Equal Rights and Opportunities for Men and Women", according to the People´s Deputies does not regulate all the problems in this sphere.
As it was declared in the course of the discussion, authors of the draft resolution suggests the conduction of the parliamentary hearings on 8 December 2010, though the decision of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has already established the schedule of the hearings conduction in the course of the whole 7th session. Hence, the Committee passed the decision to conduct in 2010 the hearings: "Practice of the Law Implementation in Ukraine "On provision of the Equal Rights and Opportunities for Men and Women" and recommends that the parliament adopts as a basis and in its entirety the elaborated draft resolution.
