The Law introduces the amendments to the clauses 604 and 323 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine that envisage new qualification features "committed by father, mother, foster parents or other family members and also worker of the educational, upbringing, medical or other establishments, obliged to take care of the victim or educate them." The legislator also fixes the rejection from the use of the evaluating notions for the defining of the socially dangerous consequences in the part 3 clause 323 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As it was announced by the Committee Secretariate that the analysis of the Law implementation proves that there purpose of strengthening of the violation for the crimes against family and children have given no results yet. Thus, during 2008 the investigators of internal affairs bodies investigated 4730 crimes committed against 5160 people and from their commitment suffered 4607 citizens in particular 289 minors. In 2009 the rate of such crimes has not been considerably reduced (-5,1%), internal affairs bodies officers investigated 4341 crimes committed against 4744 people and from their commitment suffered 4607 citizens in particular 323 minors.
