V.M.Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, sent the telegram of condolence to the family of Ya.Isaievych, prominent Ukrainian historian, on his death.
The telegram reads:
"It is with deep sorrow that I have learned of the death of Yaroslav Dmytrovych Isaievych.
A prominent historian, bibliologist, cultural scientist, educator, ardent devotee of science, great patriot and public figure passed away. The heart of the person who dedicated his life to the self-sacrificing service to the Motherland stopped beating. His scientific work continued, developed and enriched the achievements and ideas of successors in the historical studies, as he wrote more than 700 scientific works, 15 monographs, hundreds of articles devoted to the cultural heritage of Ukrainian people. Yaroslav Dmytrovych embodies the best traits of the scientific elite honesty, devotion, fidelity to principle, wisdom, kindness and genteelness. These traits have fully revealed in his career from the junior research associate to the director of I.Krypiakevych Institute of Ukrainian Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
We bow our heads in deep respect and sorrow to the eternal memory of Yaroslav Dmytrovych.
His inspiring personality will remain in our hearts for ever.
