The Law offers comprehensive reform
of the judicial system in conformity to the international standards to enhance
the social role and status of judges; guarantee independence of judges of any
influence and improve citizens´ access to court. Legislative provisions also implement the
resolutions of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine. To enhance the system of
courts of general jurisdiction, the document establishes the Higher Specialized
Court of Ukraine in charge of civil and criminal cases, which shall function as
a court of cassation as the Higher
Administrative Court and the Higher Economic Court.
