The Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Elimination of Consequences of Chornobyl Disaster recommends that the Parliament adopts the Bill on Forest Resources

The bill (Reg. No.5498) determines "a special legal regime of sale and export of forest resources (except of wood-base material)".

The Committee Chairman stated that the topicality of the bill is explained by the "non-regulation of the activity of economic entities connected with the sale and export of forest resources (except of wood-base material)".

For every lot of forest resources registered during the export operation at the customs border, the economic entity shall submit a provenance certificate for this lot of forest resources issues by a state executive authority body in charge of forestry.
