The Law extends the period of authorities of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ombudsman from five till seven years.
Pursuant to the document this norm is not applied to the Ombudsman appointed to the office before the Law comes into effect ("authority of the latter is still effective pursuant to the effective legislation until the term of appointment is completed").
The Law was adopted with the corrections of the Central Scientific-Expert Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. A relevant bill is registered under Reg. No 2702.
