Borys Tarasiuk, People´s Deputy of Ukraine, presented the draft resolution (Reg. No.6421) and declared that the political-legal grounds for the scrutiny of the issue on the dismissal of Mohyliov A. V. from the office of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine are severe reaction on the part of MIA of Ukraine on the numerous meetings of opposition and also his personal expressions regarding serving of his sentence by V. Chornovil, the Leader of the People´s Movement of Ukraine and rehabilitation of the Stalin´s regime crime - deportation in the period 1941-1944 of Crimea people from the place of their constant living in the territory of Ukraine.
Minister of Internal Affairs A. Mohyliov refuted accusations of the draft resolution authors. He stated that he expressed his opinion regarding serving of his sentence by V. Chornovil, the Leader of the People´s Movement of Ukraine and rehabilitation of the Stalin´s regime crime - deportation in the period 1941-1944 of Crimea people from the place of their constant living in the territory of Ukraine as a private person. Moreover, according to him, all the actions of police officers regarding so-called oppression of the opposition were within the framework of the law.
The Committee members emphasised that this issue requires expert review examination.
The Committee members passed the decision to reject the draft resolution.
