The
Bill (Reg. No5438), submitted by R.M. Zavrych, the People´s Deputy of
Ukraine suggests the amendments to the clause 23 of the Law "On
Information" and additions of the Criminal Code and Code of Ukraine on
Administrative Infringements aimed at the further improvement of the state
regulation of information protection in the sphere of personal information
protection.
The bill regulates relations related to the protection of personal data. Thus, it defines the procedure of accumulation of personal data, sets requirements for its processing, use, dissemination, etc.
The Committee members stated that the Bill sets a legal basis for State regulation of social relations between a person, society and the State provided the citizens´ rights in the field of personal data are duly protected. The Bill also defines rights and guarantees, obligations and responsibilities of all entities of activity related to the personal data protection.
