I send my sincere greetings to the military servicemen, personnel and veterans of the State Border Service on the occasion of their occupational holiday Border Guard´s Day.
This holiday honours the guards of the State border who courageously and self-sacrificingly protect sacred frontiers of their Motherland, having acquired the best traits of the defenders of
Motherland professionalism, patriotism, courage, devotion to their nation and constitutional duty.
Establishment of a modern border service in our country was facilitated by Ukraine´s independence. Development of the State Border Service is closely connected with the development of Statehood.
The State Border Service became a law-enforcement body complying with the modern international standards in the border security owing to the self-sacrificing, dedicated work and thorough attitude to the fulfillment of duties of the modern generation of Ukrainian border guards.
Dear border guards, on the occasion of this holiday I wish peace and well-being to you and your families, success in the responsible and honourable service for the sake of Ukrainian nation and prosperity of the Motherland.
