"Ukraine needs and effective cooperation with Russia instead of the economic takeover by Russian Federation", - Mykola Tomenko, the Deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stated in the course of the morning air on "Radio-ERA", giving comments regarding the different points of view regarding he possible signing of the treaties between stated by the presidents V. Yanukovych and D. Medvedev on 17 May.
Analyzing the situation with the signing of the treaties in Kharkiv and further their ratification in the Parliament, M. Tomenko stated that "signing of this document was held in a secret way when not only opposition but even experts and society were not aware of this fact, thus they remained beyond the process."
The Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine emphasised that "we do not object cooperation that is of mutual interest, though for today one of the most competitive spheres as nuclear power or aircraft building do not need the interference on the part of other states."
"Hence we hope today´s discussion will stop the President and Government lest they make economically unprofitable steps for our industry and life in total sense as these decision contradict the national interests", M. Tomenko emphasised.
