The bill (Reg. No. 4671) enhances
legal and economic principles of activity in the sector of water supply and
sewerage.
The bill alters definition of the term "a drinking water consumer", extending the range of purposes for which drinking water can be used. It will harmonize contractual relations in the sector of water supply and sewerage, secure realization of the legitimate right of an economic entity to be paid for the services rendered by the consumers.
The bill also supplements the principles of governmental policy in the field of water supply and sewerage regarding use of preventive measures to protect sewerage systems and purify sewage.
The bill also covers the issues of responsibility for the untimely and incomplete payment for the water supply services.
