The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted as a basis the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On the State Social Aid to the Handicapped Persons from Birth and to the Disabled Children" (re Support of Persons that nurse the Disabled Children who require Regular Outside Assistance)

Pursuant to the Bill (Reg. No.2231), since 1 January 2009, a person who nurses a disabled child that requires outside assistance will be granted an allowance for such care, irregardless of his/her employment. Adoption of the said amendments will contribute to the State financial support of the families that have children with serious functional disorders.The expenditures are to be funded due to the growth of budget revenue in Year 2009.
