Mykola Tomenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine upheld the young people initiative of Yurii Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University to go work on 15 April in vyshyvanka (embroidered shirt) and celebrate in such a way "Say of Ukrainian Shirt."
Giving comments regarding his decision, M. Tomenko declared that deems theI public initiatives regarding renovation of the Ukrainian tradition more essential than that of authority. "I have decided to uphold the initiative of the young people as I am convinced that love to your native state is not made by resolutions or orders, hence I deem such public initiatives important nd useful", Tomenko declared.
For inquiry: It is the fourth time Chernivtsi young people initiate action "Day of Ukrainian Shirt." It is organized by the history, political science and international relations departments of Yurii Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.
