In the course of the Committee sitting it was declared that the Bill (Reg. No. 3421) defines the authority of the central executive authority body on technical regulation and consumer policy matters as to the provision of safe products turnover; rules of the turnover and market placement; obligations and responsibilities of the market participants regarding turnover and market placement of safe products; withdrawal of dangerous goods from turnover, legal and organizational basis, principles and order of the state supervision.
Pursuant to the Bill, the general product safety is supposed to be estimated according to all the relevant aspects, in particular, - the category of consumers out of special risk groups, especially children and elderly people.
As it was declared in the course of the sitting, the document aims at the harmonization of legislation and standardization system with the international and European norms, which requires implementation of the European norms, in particular Directions of the European Parliament and European Council 2001/95/ЕС "Regarding General Product Safety in the national legislation system.
