"Political initiatives concerning the conduction of the extraordinary sessions in the regional councils in order to dismiss the Heads of the Regional Administrations is an inadequate and impropriate political step of the Party of Regions", Mykola Tomenko the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declared giving comments on the decision of the Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv Regional Councils to give a vote of nonconfidence to the Chairmen of the Regional Administrations.
"It is obvious that today and in few next days the Party of Regions plans to conduct a number of the extraordinary regional councils sittings in order to react on the wrong political position of those administration chairmen that do not express active support to Viktor Yanukovych as a candidate for the presidency", - M. Tomenko is convinced. The Deputy Chairman stated that, unfortunately, Viktor Yanukovych team repeats the same world-view mistakes of Leonid Kuchma and Viktor Yushchenko Presidents, as they were deeply convinced that the Chairmen of the Regional Administrations are obliged to be "sincerely devoted to the President and conduct the Party general line."
"Though the conduction of the mentioned above sittings in a few days before the presidential campaign completion is a traditional wrong political approach to the understanding of the regional power in Ukraine", - M. Tomenko declared and expressed hope that after the presidential campaign in Ukraine is completed there would finally appear the professional and competent regional authority.
