"Ukrainian Parliament members accepted the tragic news concerning horrible tragedy flood on Madeira Island that Portuguese People faced, with deep sorrow", - read the telegrams.

On behalf of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and on his own behalf, Volodymyr Lytvyn conveyed sincere condolences and words of support to the relatives of the perished and wished rapid recovery to the injured.
