Mykola Tomenko: Culture and Spirituality shall supersede Dominating Politics in Mass Media and Everyday Life
Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, stayed with a working visit in Rivne region. He met the educationalists of the city of Rivne. Dwelling upon the priorities of the development of humanitarian State policy, M.Tomenko stressed that culture and spirituality shall dominate the politics in everyday life.
"The problem of Ukraine is that politics supersedes culture in the mass social life. Beginning with the television and ending with everyday life, the country lives only with the politics, discussion of political scandals, conflicts and social life of the politicians", - he stated.
M.Tomenko believes that mass interest in the politics resulted in the fact that young generation is more knowledgeable about the Ukrainian parties or politicians, than about the traditions, history and Ukrainian artists.
The Deputy Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stated that his "Spravedlyva Kraina" Fund implemented humanitarian projects to restore Ukrainian spirituality and traditions in the schools and pre-schools education establishments. "An Audio Book for Ukrainian Children" is the most recent project of that kind. Having met the educationalists of Rivne region, the Deputy Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine forwarded the CDs "An Audio Book for Ukrainian Children" to every pre-school education establishment of the region.
