Mykola Tomenko: Ministers shall not be dismissed or appointed for the Political Non-Involvement

Ministers shall not be dismissed or appointed for the political non-involvement, "that is for the failure to support certain candidate for presidency", - Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, declared during the working visit to Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky.

Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, commented upon the President´s initiative to dismiss Yuriy Lutsenko, Minister of Internal Affairs. He stated: "I repeatedly made the point that such decisions of Viktor Yushchenko confirm that he considers resolutions and recommendations of the shadow government of Viktor Yanukovych to be more important than those of the legitimate government of Yulia Tymoshenko. It is widely known that the Party of Regions has long ago resolved to demand the dismissal of Yuriy Lutsenko".

"If the Parliament dismisses all the high-ranking officials who refuse to become election agents of V.Yushchenko or V.Yanukovych, the public authority system in Ukraine will be abolished for the period of the presidential election campaign", - the Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stated.

Giving comments regarding the latest council on the work of the law-enforcing agencies, the Vice-Chairman declared that had always criticized the Commander in Chief for the public discussion of the problems in law-enforcing agencies, as it is not supposed to the a topic for briefings.

"It is inadmissible to hold on-camera the briefings regarding the work of the law-enforcing agencies as it is disrespect to the country. It is obvious that there are certain problems but how it is possible to discuss in public that we have bad authorities, bad court system, bad law-enforcing agencies etc. May be we should yield ourselves prisoners? If we want to have our county alive, it is inadmissible to abase oneself."
