The Bill (Reg. No. 2470) determines the status of the Law and Order Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine as a special unit under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine authorized to protect and defend important State objects, protect public order, combat crimes and take other measures requiring permanent operational readiness and high mobility.
The Committee members expressed a number of remarks concerning the Bill.
Thus, the Committee members deem necessary to substantiate the necessity of reforming domestic troops. The Bill also requires further drafting.
