The Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Elimination of Consequences of Chornobyl Disaster recommends that the Parliament adopts as a Basis the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On Fire Safety" (re Civil Defense Service)

The Bill (Reg. No.4183) regulates the procedure of conferring special ranks and the order of service of the ranks and commanders of the civil defence bodies and departments in charge of fire safety. The Bill excludes the provisions concerning performance of mobilization activity by the fire-fighting system and establishment of the fire-fighting civil defense service.

The Committee members recommend that the Parliament adopts the Bill under Reg. No. 4183 as a basis, taking into account certain provisions of the Bill under Reg. No. №5060.
