Volodymyr Lytvyn does not observe Willingness to adopt the Amendments to Electoral Legislation
Volodymyr Lytvyn does not observe willingness to adopt the amendments to electoral legislation. He made the above-mentioned statement during the working visit to Zhytomyr region on Saturday.
"We will close gaps in the electoral legislation till 17 January", - the Head of the Parliament stated. He admits that the process of essential changes in the electoral legislation may start since 17 January. However, it shall be prevented "both in the legal, and political sense".
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada stated that one shall not rely on the efficient authorities under the effective electoral system. He believes that parliamentary elections by the party lists can change the Parliament´s composition only for 20 per cent. "However, abolition of the effective electoral system would renew the composition of the Verkhovna Rada for 80%", - he stated.
