At the Extraordinary Plenary Meetings, only the Issues raised by the Initiators of the Meetings shall be scrutinized
Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, made the aforementioned statement at the press conference in Kherson on Wednesday. Thus, he commented upon the proposal of Yulia Tymoshenko, Prime Minister of Ukraine, to discuss simplification of vaccine registration at the extraordinary plenary meeting of The Verkhovna Rada on 26 November.
"I am convinced that discussion of this topic shall be finished, as Ukrainian politicians managed to squeeze everything possible from it", - V.Lytvyn stated. He recommended that the politicians read the Law on medicine that regulates the medicine registration procedure in Ukraine and authorizes the Ministry of Public Health to alter the period of registration.
Clause 22 of the said Law reads that in the epidemic periods, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine or an authorized body shall set up specialized public enterprises and organizations to create governmental medicine stock for the period of calamities, disasters and epidemic. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is also authorized to conclude relevant agreements with the subjects of entrepreneurship regardless of the ownership type.
"The answer is apparent: the Cabinet of Ministers should have passed a resolution on this matter a long ago", - V.Lytvyn summarized.
