The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Resolution "On Holding of the Parliamentary Hearings on the Topic "On the Status of Freedom of Speech in the Regional Mass Media"

The parliamentary hearings are scheduled for 2 December 2009.

The State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine shall prepare and bring forward the information and analytical materials concerning the parliamentary hearings till 20 November 2009.

The Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information shall take necessary measures to support the parliamentary hearings.

A relevant Draft Resolution was registered under Reg. No. 5086.
