Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, calls on the President of Ukraine, the Prime Minister of Ukraine and the Representatives of the Political Forces with a Request to discuss the Situation in the Country in view of the Flu Epidemic and pass Necessary Resolutions
"I call on the President, the Prime Minister, the leader of opposition and representatives of all other political forces: let us hold calm, sensible, or even private talks concerning the situation in the country, - stated V.Lytvyn in "Chas" TV program (Channel 5) on Wednesday. Then the resolutions to be adopted will be found."
"A common resolution shall be adopted. At present, the situation is the following: the Cabinet of Ministers adopted one resolution, the National Security and Defense Council another one, The Verkhovna Rada has drafted another resolution and is expected to pass it in Thursday", - stated the Head of the Parliament.
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine admits the possibility of announcing the state of emergency. "If the flu epidemic spreads to the level requiring the state of emergency, then the corresponding resolutions shall be adopted", - he stated.
V.Lytvyn calls for suspending "political epidemic". He stated that Ukrainian authorities "profit by the topic of flu, otherwise, they would have invented such a disaster", as the crucial reasons of the present-day situation can not be explained. "All Ukrainian politicians should have been isolated for this period, - stated the Head of the Parliament. The country would have born the situation easier".
He stressed that the flu epidemic was of social nature, as it outburst in the regions with the lowest standard of life.
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine considers unethical "to raise the matter of interrupting election campaign and discussing the influence of the election campaign on the situation in Ukraine". "People are not concerned with the election campaign, they are terrorized not only by the flu epidemic, but also by the information attacks against the public", - he stated.
