Volodymyr Lytvyn: It is necessary to work on the Budget instead of postponing the Scrutiny of the said Matter
V.Lytvyn stressed that The Verkhovna Rada shall scrutinize the conclusions and recommendations of the Committees and the proposals of the People´s Deputies, adopt the Budget at the First Reading and forward the Bill for further drafting to the Cabinet of Ministers. He stated that implementation of the Law on extra increase of social payments would augment the State budget deficit by two per cent. He made the above-mentioned statement during the working visit to the city of Cherkasy.
"It is necessary to work on the budget seriously, - he stated. Unfortunately, no one is obviously concerned with this matter, especially, the executive authorities".
V.Lytvyn also stated that he understood that the submitted proposals were remote from life, as they increased the budget expenditures by UAH 140 billion. "However, it is necessary to work on the budget instead of postponing the scrutiny of the said matter", - V.Lytvyn summed up.
