The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law "On Amendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine" (re Responsibility for Violations of the Water Fund Lands)

The Law forms the legal basis for the effective violations counteraction regarding the lands of the water funds and provides the possibility for the institution criminal and administrative proceedings against delinquents for illegal actions regarding water fund lands.

In particular, the Criminal Code is added with two new articles 239 (1) "Violation of Water Lands Principles Use" and 239 (2) "Large Scale Seizure of the Water Fund Lands."

A relevant Bill is registered under №3417.
