Mykola Tomenko: The State Customs will facilitate Filling of Expositions of "Zaporizhska Sich" Complex
Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Head of the Organizing Committee of "Let us restore Zaporizhska Sich" action, made the above-mentioned statement during the today´s holiday "Zaporizhska Sich gathers Friends" at the territory of "Khortytsia" National Island-Reserve at the newly-built historical cultural "Zaporizhska Sich" complex.
He stated that the Organizing Committee of "Let us restore Zaporizhska Sich" action and Anatoliy Makarenko, Head of the State Customs Service of Ukraine, agreed to hand all the cultural valuables of Cossack epoch confiscated by Ukrainian customs officers to "Zaporizhska Sich" complex.
Mykola Tomenko, Head of the Organizing Committee of "Let us restore Zaporizhska Sich" action, and Maksym Ostapenko, Head of "Khortytsia" National Reserve, summarized the results of the action and stated that active participation of the public and the entrepreneurs facilitated realization of commitments and enabled opening of a renovated "Zaporizhska Sich" complex on the Feast of the Protecting Veil of the Mother of God. M.Tomenko stated that UAH 1 million was lacking to complete the construction, however, the necessary funds had been collected during the action, and the construction works had been completed. The action organizers presented the most active participants of "Let us restore Zaporizhska Sich" action with diplomas.
M.Tomenko stressed: "The Organizing Committee of "Let us restore Zaporizhska Sich" action and the Head of the State Customs Service of Ukraine agreed to hand all the cultural valuables of Cossack epoch confiscated by Ukrainian customs officers to "Zaporizhska Sich" complex. "Restoration of Zaporizhska Sich is one of the most successful actions to prove that such significant places can be renovated owing to the common efforts of the public and business", - stated the Vice-Chairman.
