During the visit of Shostka Institute, V. Lytvyn reminded the productive fame of Shostka during the Soviet times and expressed thought that "towns with intellectual production should possess educational institutions to develop the future scientific basis" as "if the re is no educational institutions, such towns lose their potential." He also declared that Shostka "has great intellectual potential."

 

V. Lytvyn announced that he held conversation with the town and region authorities regarding the ways of the solution of extremely complicated situation in Sumy region. "It resembles invasion power invaded citizens", - he declared. According to V. Lytvyn the industry in the region is almost stopped, consequently income to the state and local budgets are considerable reduced.

 

V. Lytvyn informed that on the background of the total decline in the region still there are enterprises that still work, and complete their work well; in particular it is Krolevets grain products plant that produces 500 tone products per day.

 

V. Lytvyn declared that International Monetary Fund expressed worry regarding the adoption of this law. Still, the leader of the Parliament asked the question: "Has the country and state right for the existence if it can not provide social standards, determined by itself? Consequently, the power must admit sincerely that it is incapable."
