Yuriy Prokopchuk, Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Parliamentary Control and Legislative Support of Prosecution Bodies Reforms, reported on the state of preparation of the Bill (Reg. No. 2491) for the Second Reading. The Committee received 189 motions and remarks from the subjects of legislative initiative that were included into the table of comparison.
The Committee members stated that certain motions and amendments altered the system, organization and order of activity of the prosecution, as they differ from the concepts that underlie the bill adopted at the First Reading.
The Committee commissioned Yu.Prokopchuk, Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Parliamentary Control and Legislative Support of Prosecution Bodies Reforms, to organize scrutiny of the conclusions of the Venetian Commission concerning the Bill on Prosecution prior to their official scrutiny at The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The final version of the comparison table to the Bill shall also be presented for the Committee´s scrutiny.
