Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is firmly against possible privatization of the open joint stock company "Odesa Port Plant". He announced it on Monday during the press-conference in Vinnytsia.
"I am firmly against the selling of certain objects during the crisis", - he declared, adding that "especially firmly against selling certain objects due to the political agreements if such take place".
V. Lytvyn reminded that there is the president of Ukraine Order that suspends the force of the governmental resolution on "Odesa Port Plant" privatization. "And if the resolution is suspended, the only possible arbiter here will be Constitutional Court. Consequently, if we consider ourselves as citizens that live in the legal country that abide the law, the selling should not take place", - he ended.
The Leader of the Parliament has emphasized that he is firmly again this enterprise sell as he visited the plant many times and is aware of the fact that OPP gives enormous income for the state. V. Lytvyn stressed on the necessity on the determining what objects and organizations provide the state independence and safety. Consequently such enterprises as "Ukrainian Railways", regional gas and energy enterprises should remain in the state property.
As it was announced previously, during 28-29v September the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine would visit Vinnytsia and Khmelnytsk regions with the working visits.
