"Our politicians are unanimous concerning the issue on European choice of Ukraine and the idea is positively perceived by all the regions", - V. Lytvyn declared giving the answers to the questions of the Delegation of the European Association of the Former Members of the European Parliament during the meeting on Monday.
"We are interested in the treaty on association but it is possible only when we are predictable and possess European standards", - he emphasized. WE need to concentrate on the practical work inside the country".
The chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declared that he does not deem the issue on NATO integration essential for today
According to him, the policy of the country should be coordinated with the people´s inclinations, otherwise "it is inefficient". "It is obvious that NATO problem exasperates animosity among people and we do not need split in the society". Moreover, he reminded that there is "distinct signals" form the Alliance that entering of the Ukraine is not possible now. "What for should we knock the closed doors?", - the Leader of the Ukrainian Parliament asked.
According to V. Lytvyn, the real guarantee of Ukra9nian safety must be acquirement of Budapest memorandum the status of political-legal document.
