Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, is willing to hold consultations with all the political Factions to stabilize the Parliament´s work, "to find the solution to resume the work of The Verkhovna Rada".
He made the above-mentioned statement at Friday´s briefing after the Conciliative Council, the participants of which failed to reach a compromise decision to resume the plenary meetings. "The sittings of The Verkhovna Rada will not be held, unless we finally clarify the demands of the blocking initiators", - he stated and added that "it is not the problem of The Verkhovna Rada, but the problem of a single Faction that makes declarations, but fails to adopt resolutions".
V.Lytvyn stressed that The Verkhovna Rada Resolution concerning Alteration of the Mode of Voting for the Laws on the Increase of the Welfare Standards was legitimate, as the signature of the Head of the Parliament was followed by all the signatures required, including the one by Oleksandr Yefremov, Chairman of the Committee on Standing Orders.
V.Lytvyn also predicts that an extraordinary meeting of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will not be held next week.
