Volodymyr Lytvyn, the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine suggests the Conduction in September of the Current Year of the Sitting of the Interparliamentary Committee on Cooperation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and Federal Council of the Russian Federation with the Participation of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and Chairmen of the Federation Council and State Duma of the Federal Council of Russian Federation for the Elaboration of the propositions on the Crisis in Ukrainian and Russian Relations Overcoming
It is said in the letters of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada if Ukraine directed to Sergey Mironov, the Chairman of the Federation Council of Russian Federation and the Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Council, Boris Gryzlov.
"The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine pays great significance to the development of the prolific and mutually profitable Ukrainian-Russian cooperation and tries its best to the further strengthening for good of our two nations", - emphasizes the Leader of the Ukrainian Parliament.
V. Lytvyn declares that at the present moment our two countries suffers complicated period in mutual relations and it is proved, according to him, by the recent address of the Russian President, Dmytro Medvedev to the President of Ukraine, Viktor Yushchenko and the corresponding reaction of the President of Ukraine in the letter to the President of Russian Federation and address to the Ukrainian people.
"I suppose, that such atmosphere needs serious analysis of the state and perspectives of our relations, - V. Lytvyn informs. Because of this fact suggest immediate conduction in September of the Current Year of the Sitting of the Interparliamentary Committee on Cooperation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and Federal Council of the Russian Federation with the Participation of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and Chairmen of the Federation Council and State Duma of the Federal Council of Russian Federation for the elaboration of the propositions on the crisis in Ukrainian and Russian relations overcoming".
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is convinced that the Parliaments of both countries are able "to convert the dialogue between Russia and Ukraine from the plane of recrimination into the constructive race".

«Верховная Рада Украины придает огромное значение развитию плодотворного и взаимовыгодного украинско-российского сотрудничества и последовательно направляет усилия для его дальнейшего укрепления на благо наших дружественных народов.
Вместе с тем, вынужден отметить, что в настоящее время наши страны переживают нелегкий период в своих отношениях, свидетельством чего стали недавнее обращение Президента Российской Федерации Д.Медведева к Президенту Украины В.Ющенко и соответственная реакция Президента Украины В.Ющенко в письме Президенту Российской Федерации Д.Медведеву и обращении к украинскому народу.
Считаю, что такая атмосфера требует проведения серьезного взвешенного анализа состояния и перспектив наших взаимоотношений.
В этой связи предлагаю безотлагательно провести в сентябре текущего года заседание Межпарламентской комиссии по сотрудничеству Верховной Рады Украины и Федерального Собрания Российской Федерации с участием Председателя Верховной Рады Украины и Председателей Совета Федерации и Государственной Думы Федерального Собрания Российской Федерации для обсуждения сложившейся ситуации и выработки предложений по преодолению кризиса в украинско-российских отношениях.
Глубоко убежден, что парламенты двух стран смогут перевести диалог между Украиной и Россией из плоскости взаимных претензий и обвинений в конструктивное русло.
Предлагаю согласовать конкретное место и время проведения этой встречи на уровне аппаратов наших парламентов
