Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, believes that further work of the member of the Central Election Committee who reached the retirement age can serve as the ground for appealing against the resolutions of the Central Election Committee during the presidential elections.
At the press conference in the village of Velyki Sorochyntsi on Thursday, V.Lytvyn stated that according to the legislation, Anatoliy Pysarenko is not authorized to take part in the meetings of the Central Election Committee and adopt its resolutions. Moreover, according to V.Lytvyn, further work of A.Pysarenko in the Central Election Committee "can serve as the ground for appealing against the resolutions of the Central Election Committee during the presidential elections".
Therefore, V.Lytvyn announced his intention to appeal to the President of Ukraine for the second time with the request to bring forward the decree on dismissal of A.Pysarenko and introduce a new candidate for the said office.
"It is necessary to secure the full-fledged activity of the Central Election Committee", - stated V.Lytvyn.
