On Sunday, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, took part in the literary-artistic holiday "Lesyni Dzherela" held for the 23rd time in the town of Novohrad-Volynsky in Zhytomyr region. The Head of the Ukrainian Parliament visited the literary-memorial museum of Lesia Ukrainka, presented the museum with a computer and attended the ceremonial procession and meeting on the occasion of the holiday.

"I am happy to attend this great holiday. I am happy and proud, because as a child and adolescent I used to say that I was born in the same place with Lesia Ukrainka", - stated V.Lytvyn, delivering a speech before the residents of Novohrad-Volynsky and the guests of the holiday.

According to V.Lytvyn, we can make nice speeches about Lesia Ukrainka and quote her classic phrases, especially on the occasion of holidays. However, V.Lytvyn deems necessary "to transform her dream, thoughts, tribulations and pursuits into practice, as the State-building is a complicated and hard labour".

V.Lytvyn stated that "we have all the grounds to declare that Ukraine is and will be a State". At the same time he deems necessary to answer the eternal question: how will Ukraine look like a State.

The Head of the Ukrainian Parliament stressed that the deeds of Lesia Ukrainka should inspire both the representatives of Ukrainian authorities, and the citizens of Ukraine to reflections, responsibility and consolidated work.
