Volodymyr Lytvyn has not agreed to the Proposition of the Party of Regions Faction concerning Closing of the Current Session of the Parliament, "as it would give reasons to talk that the Verkhovna Rada ignores social and human interests". The Chairman announced it on Friday during the briefing for the journalists after one more unsuccessful meeting of the conciliation council with the participation of the factions´ leaders. He reminded that introduced a great number of propositions "in order the Work of the Verkhovna Rada is continued and in order issues suggested by all the parties are directed for the scrutiny" but none of suggested except concerning closing of the session was not upheld.

The current session of the Verkhovna Rada according to V. Lytvyn is evident of the fact that "there are attempts to led the situation to the bankrupt, totally discredit the highest legislative body of the country and as a result the question on political necessity of the elections". "It is reflection of the conflict that is worsening: one the one hand Yanukovych, on the other hand -Tymoshenko", - the Leader of the Parliament informed.  According to his words "it is highly possible that that the President´s elections may not be held and if it is held they may appear not so clear and non-problematic as it is promised today".

V. Lytvyn expressed for the necessity of the common agreement among all the political players concerning the amendments to the law on President´s elections and on Parliamentary as well and adopt political decision on adopt political decision on simultaneous pre-termed elections of the President and Parliament according to the scheme, "that must be accepted by the Ukrainian society". "Legally it is not possible but in case of political decision it should be strict and clear", - V. Lytvyn emphasized.
