Mykola Tomenko: Parliament cold work even without the Holidays
The vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, M. Tomenko is convinced that the Parliament could work without holidays. He informed on the fact today during the briefing in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
"Until the basic issues on social-economic development of the county remain unsolved, the People´s Deputies have no moral rights to go on parliamentary summer recess. "There are principal issues that need immediate resolutions", - M. Tomenko declared.
According to M. Tomenko, the parliamentary vacation could be delayed if the issues and bills on recapitalization of banks, main directions of the budget policy for the year 2010, division of the Stabilization Fund money on "Euro-2012" conduction, the final decision on President´s elections etc. are not being scrutinized. "If Party of Regions would bloc the work we would be forced to use the right on the pre-termed session during the summer in order to solve vital matters", - he informed.
"The Parliament is in charged for the situation in the country. The opposition as well. That is why we inform in advance the representatives of the opposition that they would better return tickets or return from the vacations as we would work until the essential decision are adopted", - M. Tomenko emphasized.
