Mykola Tomenko: Ukrainian Society supports Restoration of "Zaporizhzhia Sich"
Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, stated that as the initiator of the action "Let us restore Zaporozhian Sich" he was content with the state of campaign aimed at the collection of funds for the completion of construction of "Zaporozhian Sich" historico-cultural reserve at the territory of "Khortytsia" reserve. As of 15 July, approximately 3 thousand text messages and more than 500 calls were received for the support of the action.
Mykola Tomenko stated the reconstruction of "Zaporozhian Sich" was at the stage of conclusion, which is to be finished till 14 October 2009, the feast of the Protecting Veil of the Mother of God (the Day of Ukrainian Cossacks).
Mykola Tomenko reminded of the fact that it was possible to donate to the construction, making a call or sending a text message.
