News 2 - Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations recommends that the Parliament directs for the Further Elaboration the Bill "On Amendments to the Article 14 and 15 of the Chapter X "Transitional provisions" of the Land Code of Ukraine (re the Term for the Sale of Land Areas) - Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations recommends that the Parliament directs for the Further Elaboration the Bill "On Amendments to the Article 14 and 15 of the Chapter X "Transitional provisions" of the Land Code of Ukraine (re the Term for the Sale of Land Areas)

The Bill (Reg.№3425) envisages the prohibition from the 1 January 2012 on the buying and selling or other alienation of land areas of agricultural use except inheritance, exchange the land area into another land area according to the law.

During the discussion the People´s Deputies expressed motions to the Bill. In particular, the extending of the moratorium would restrain the investments into he agricultural industry, restrain the rights of the citizens, specially pensioners who do not have heirs and would stimulate black market o lands etc.
