Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The
Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met
Wang Gang, Vice-Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese
People's Political Consultative Conference.
"At present Ukraine and China are friends and reliable partners". The said statement was the key-note of the Thursday´s meeting of Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and Wang Gang, Vice-Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
Greeting the Chinese delegation, V.Lytvyn stressed that the Ukrainian Party "highly appreciated the level of cooperation between the parliaments of both countries and the current state of international relations, and honoured the history of the relations". He expressed his hopes that similar dialogues "will raise the cooperation onto a new level".
The Vice-Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference stated that "the development of friendship, partnership and effective cooperation between Ukraine and China will give the benefit for both nations". He deems necessary to extend the inter-parliamentary relations and establish contacts at the level of committees and political groups.
V.Lytvyn upheld the initiative of
the Chinese party concerning development of relations at the level of political
factions. He believes that "it will develop a common perception of foreign
political life and render a possibility to appraise the political processes in
each country effectively".
The Parties discussed common ways of preventing the influence of the global financial crisis. They deem necessary to develop trade-economic relations, cooperation in the military and scientific sectors, space technologies. The Parties also dwelled upon attraction of the Chinese experience to the preparation for EURO-2012 in Ukraine. According to the Vice-Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, "Chinese enterprises study the list of projects suggested by the Ukrainian Party".
The participants of the meeting
expressed common concern with the further development of cooperation at the
level of parliaments, their leaders and groups of friendship.
