The Committee on Fighting Organized Crime and Corruption recommends that the Parliament adopts the Bill "On Amendments to certain Laws of Ukraine" (re Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism) as a Basis

The Bill (Reg. No. 4309) was drafted to enhance legislation appertaining to the suppression of the financing of terrorism and to coordinate certain Laws of Ukraine with the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism (1999) and other international legal acts.

The Bill provides for the adequate suppression of the financing of terrorist acts and organizations by means of implementing international standards into Ukrainian legislation.

Thus, the Bill supplements the Criminal Code of Ukraine with a new clause 258-5 that envisages criminal responsibility for the financing of terrorism.
