Mykola Tomenko: Strategy of Innovational Development of Ukraine for the Years 2010-2020 is of Vital Importance more then ever before

"Mykola Tomenko: Strategy of Innovational Development of Ukraine for the Years 2010-2020 is of Vital Importance more then ever before", - the Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declared during the opening of the parliamentary hearings: "Strategy of the Innovation Development of Ukraine in 2010-2020 under the Conditions of Globalization Challenges", that are held today in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

During his speech, M. Tomenko declared that education, science and innovations become more determinative spheres of the development of society and state. The most convincing fact according to him is that the year 2009 is declared by the European Union as a year of creativeness and innovations.

"The state and society face the problem we are scrutinizing today with all its problematic and actuality. Simply saying, the strategy pf the development of Ukraine is always of great importance but today, under the conditions of the crisis it is important more then ever", - M. Tomenko emphasized.

"It should be also noticed that the majority of the developed countries as Sweden, Ireland, Finland, Japan, USA, and Great Britain have already developed the corresponding strategies or are forming national innovational systems. Strategies of the innovational development are also formed in the countries of the former socialistic area", - M. Tomenko declared.

The People´s Deputies of Ukraine, representatives of the central bodies of the state executive power, National and branch academies of sciences, regions, representatives of industry and business, leading scientists and specialists were invited for the hearings.
