Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine deems the Parliament should support the Candidate on the Post of the Minister on Defense suggested by the President of Ukraine
"The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine should sanctify the decision of the President concerning the candidate for the post of the Minister on Defence", - V. Lytvyn declared on Tuesday during the meeting with the working collective of design engineering bureau named after Morozov in Kharkiv.
"The President should have the opportunity to declare that nobody impeded him to execute functions that provide the security and safety of life in the country", - announced the Leader of the Parliament adding that the President "is responsible for the foreign policy, defence and the cadre nomination in this sphere".
Giving answers to the questions concerning the thoughts as though "binding" of the allotment of 120 millions UAH to the design engineering bureau named after Morozov fir the building of 10 tanks "Oplot" regards to the dismissal of Yu. Ekhanurov from the post, V. Lytvyn declared that "the system should be working and it is not possible for this system to be attached to the presence or absence of the Minister", "funds should be".
Naming the tanks "masterpiece of the engineering and intellectual thought", V. Lytvyn declared that "Armed Forces need such military equipment, military men should be taught on the newest samples and not using technologies of the previous century", - he informed
V. Lytvyn emphasized that "there should be everything clear" with the money use in Army. According to V. Lytvyn, "selling of the property should be turned over on the profit of the country". Part of money from the selling of this property might be directed on renewing and modernization of the defence objects.
