The
Law envisages basic actions to be taken to create due conditions for the
organization and holding of the final part of the European Football
Championship 2012 in Ukraine.
Pursuant to the Law, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine: supports and cooperates with the hosting association, the UEFA, concerning organization and holding of the Championship; coordinates activity of the central and local executive bodies related to the organization and holding of the Championship; ratifies the Program with due account taken of the motions of relevant local self-government bodies; approves the concepts concerning provision of the Championship with relevant branches; appoints national coordinators and defines their duties; exerts control over the implementations of actions related to the holding of the Championship.
The law comes into force on the day of its promulgation, except of Paragraph 6, Article 15 that becomes effective on 1 January 2011. The validity of the Law shall be terminated on 1 September 2012.
