Mykola Tomenko: Accession of the Party of Regions to the Coalition of the BYuT, Our Ukraine-People´s Self-Defence and the Lytvyn Bloc would be a Positive Example of a Political Association
Mykola Tomenko, Vice-Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, appeared live on the radio "Era-FM" and answered the questions concerning prospects and conditions of creation of the parliamentary coalition constituting of the Party of Regions and the BYuT. He stated: "Any association of political forces is useful and positive, especially, under the present-day conditions; however, the cost of such an agreement is of great importance".
"As far as my opinion is concerned, the higher the level of political compromise is, the better it is for Ukraine. I have always supported the idea of the coalition of at least four political forces. If the Party of Regions joins the coalition of the BYuT, Our Ukraine-People´s Self-Defence and the Lytvyn Bloc, it will be a real example of a political association, and will create prerequisites for fighting the crisis efficiently", - stated M.Tomenko.
"If it is not a united coalition, but the agreements between the Party of Regions and the BYuT, then it will look like a distribution of offices between these two political forces instead of their willingness to work for the sake of Ukraine", - stated M.Tomenko.
